I am guessing that most of myy remaining posts will be in relation to R&R and the fact that I am definately counting down the days. At first, I was a little upset about having to change my month from September to May but now I am really looking forward to it. Although I am not stressed out or anything, I am ready for a break and I am also ready to see Paula and the girls.
The weather has been pretty nice, no rain and lots of sun. I guess the highs have been in the 70s but to be honest I don’t ever really check.
Earlier this week we had a small treat, Toby Keith (Country singer) came and did a small concert for the troops. I wasn’t sure if I was going to go but it was just a short walk up the road. I caught the last 40 minutes or so and I’m glad I went. It wasn’t a big band with big speakers, it was just Toby Keith, another signer and they each had a guitar. It was nice and he has always been a big supporter of the troops.
The way I see it, I will have about 2 more of these posts left before I head out on leave. I will probably write one right before I head out of here just so everyone knows I made it out ok.
