Just the other day, I submitted my request to the Army to retire next July. I thought it would take a few weeks to get a response, but low and behold, a week later, I now have my approved retirement orders in hand. This all being said, it really opened my eyes that my life is about to change very drastically from what I have become used to over the last 21 years.
That all being said, I decided that I would try to post either a photo, story or something about my time while serving in the Army. Let’s see how long I can keep it up before I run out of stuff to talk about.
Starting with today, I put up a simple countdown timer that leads to the day I will actually retire from the Army. That day is 22 years to the day that I signed up, July 31 1990.
