Goodbye September, Hello October

Well, it is October already and it seems like I was just saying that it was September already. We passed the 100 day remaining point the other day, as long as we stay on a 12 month schedule. We are often reminded that it could change back to 15 at any time but I am hoping it stays at 12, which would mean more like 13 for me. At any rate, I am happy to see the double digits on my countdown timer.
It has been warm here, up around 97 for the last few days. I hear it has been up around 110 in Kandahar which is in the southern half of Afghanistan. I figured that we would see some cooler weather and maybe some rain by now but none yet. The nights are cool, somewhere around 58 or so and I am sure the cold in on the way and then I will be wanting the warm back.
Everyone keeps asking me if I have any requests and after about 9 and a half months I finally have one, Fruity Pebbles. The mess hall here has Fruit Loops, Cheerios, and even Cocoa Crispies but no Fruity Pebbles. So, if someone would like to send me some of those I would appreciate that.
