April is about half way over, I guess I can count the 13th as being close enough. We had a few rainy, cloudy and cold days the first part of the week, which made for some wet and muddy walks. It’s hard to keep my floor clean on days like that. The sun finally came out Friday and it’s been out since, so things are starting to dry out and warm up. I decided I much prefer the sunny days here to the rainy cloudy ones.
I was hoping for some good news when the President was set to announce shorter deployments, but no such luck. It’s good for those who will be deploying after August but nothing changes for us. I didn’t get my hopes up though, I’ve been planning for the worst.
My english class is about over, I took my mid-term exam on Thursday. Funny, I thought I would do bad in math but it turns out that my native language is going to be my worst subject. So far, I am still passing, probably with a low B and thats fine with me.
I only have about a month left before I go on leave, depending on when I actually get out of Bagram. I am scheduled to fly out on the 13th of May but it seems to be getting pushed one day to the right. Either way, I am almost there. I am really looking forward to going home and the kids are excited as well. Mary asked me the other day on the phone “When is May?”, I thought that was pretty cute.
No new pictures to put up this week either, hopefully have something next week. The views don’t change too much when you spend a majority of your time on a half a square mile area. But I suppose I could try to get some pictures of me up, maybe someone would want to see those.
Talk to you all next week. Take care.
Hey Dave,
Enjoy seeing pictures and reading your blog. We miss you, and wish your time overseas goes by quickly.
Bucky and I sure enjoyed the girls visit two weeks ago. 1 whole week seems like a long visit but, in reality, it is never long enough!! So many things to do……
Good luck with that there English class!!
p.s. Aimee misses you too!
Love,
