So I have been in Oklahoma City now for almost a week. What am I doing in Oklahoma City you ask? I am here to attend a school with the FAA called OE-AAA. What in the world is OE-AAA? Obstruction Evaluation / Airport Airspace Analysis. In a nut shell, say Verizon wants to build a new cell phone tower just a few miles away from the airfield on Fort Lewis, WA. This course teaches me how to figure out if that new tower will be in the way of approaches and other air traffic flying into or around Fort Lewis. It is three weeks long, and we just finished up our first week.
Yesterday in Oklahoma City, it was 70 degrees and sunny. Today? Well, it is about 30 degrees and snowing. They are calling for about 6 to 12 inches of it with blizzard conditions. Looks like my weekend will be spent in my hotel room.
Just wanted to put up a quick update.
