Hello All,
Well, this week was a little rougher than the last few. My Company Commander was experiencing some dizziness issues for a few days so they gave him a CT Scan and found something growing in his head which could be causing the problem. They are pretty sure it’s not cancerous but it is still a problem none the less. They send him back to the states for an MRI and possible surgery and more than likely he will not be back. I hope he is fine and he will be missed.
To top that, a friend of mines husband is in Iraq and he was hit by a roadside bomb a few days ago. They took him to Landstuhl and now he is heading back to the states and she left the other night to go meet up with him. He should be ok but only time will tell for sure.
Like I said, a rough week. We will be getting a new commander sometime in the next few days and then we will see if there are any changes. Hopefully things will continue to go they way they have, it’s worked so far.
On a lighter note, I should be on leave by this time next month and I am really looking forward to it. I am about finished with my English class and am already looking into a Bachelors program of some kind. So much to choose from these days that I don’t quite know where to start. So, I am taking my time. I still have one more class to complete before I get my Associates but I want to have a plan for when that day comes.
The weather here is starting to warm up a bit and the ground is drying out. I hear it gets pretty hot in the summer time so we may be in for a warm one. The buildings have A/C so we should be fine.
