Hello everyone and welcome to the middle of October. Things are still going well and I even packed up a box to be shipped back. Customs will inspect it tomorrow and then it will be locked up in a container and good-bye box number one. I mostly just packed up a few extra uniforms and all of my college books that I have used since I’ve been here. I need to take some time today and pack up my two bags that I will have to carry back with me on the plane and then see how much stuff that either needs to be put into another box or mailed home. I must say, packing to leave here is much better than packing to come here.
I received my official notification the other day that I will be reassigned to Seattle, WA as a DAR around about June time. I submitted some paperwork so I could go earlier than June and now we are waiting to see if that gets approved. I don’t mind having some extra time to pack and move but I don’t want to be around Campbell when they start training for the next deployment, I am afraid they may get used to me being around.
I still don’t know exactly when I will be heading home and as far as I know the kids still think it is April or so. I do know that I will miss the holidays this year.
