Hard to believe that it is still August, but it is thankfully the last day. We are still chugging along but there are still no certain dates to chug to, nor do I know how long I will be home before we have to head back. Although I planned on retiring at 20 years, it looks like those plans may change depending on what I find out in the next few weeks or months. Right now we are looking at possibly moving yet again but the destination is not yet known. There are a couple of jobs opening up next year and I put my name in for them, one is in Seattle, one in Atlanta and one in Germany. I don’t really want to move again nor do I want to stay in the Army any longer but I have to, but I did promise the kids that I would not have to deploy again so I will do what I have to in order to keep that promise.
Nights are starting to cool off a bit, almost to the point that you can call it chilly. It is a refreshing change from the heat and I will be happy when the days cool off as well which I understand is not that far away.
I hope everyone is doing well back there, I think of you all quite a bit. Take care.
heard you have a brother out near the Seattle area.
September has arrived DAve, hope it brought some cooler weather. Getting ready to send you another box, any requests? I also heard you have a comedic relative out in the Seattle area. Military life is not easy on the soldier or the soldier’s family, but it is a very proud and respected choice of career and has provided you and your family with a variety of experiences. Take care – love you. Aunt Gail G.
